We need your help to grow the newest Milledgeville Community Garden! The Milledgeville Community Garden Association is partnering with Evergreen Baptist Church to help construct a new garden on the church property located at the corner of N. Jefferson St. and Ivey Weaver Rd. This property was once an operational farm and provides an excellent location for a vegetable garden, fruiting trees, berry bushes and potentially a larger production garden in the future. If you like to garden, want to grow your own vegetables, or if you simply want to get more involved in the community through volunteer work, then please come to this meeting.Event: Evergreen Community Garden Interest MeetingDate: Sunday, September 22ndTime: 4pmLocation: Evergreen Baptist Church Sanctuary, 119 Ivey-Weaver Rd.Refreshments: Light refreshments will be provided by Live Healthy Baldwin.
Time to gather again for Fall planting and great company! Our last potluck brought in a jubilant group of volunteers and were excited for everyone to come back and see how much has been accomplished this Summer. We hope to see you there!
Attached is the flyer for our first Summer event at the Community Garden! We will be beautifying, planting a Three sisters garden, painting signs to designate areas, creating water catchment and enjoying each other’s company with food & refreshments on June 7th from 4-7PM. As the flyer says, bring your favorite small dish to share and some water to keep hydrated. Were also accepting non-plot holder donations if anyone may be interested and we still have plots that are ready to be planted & loved! Each plot is $20.00 a year and has the ability to produce abundance at little cost and time. We hope to see you out at the garden and appreciate your help!
