Tuesday, Feb. 25th – Get a head start on your summer garden. A seed starting demonstration will be offered during the 11 am weekly meeting at the Collins P. Lee Center by two of Lockerly’s Dirt Diggers, Master Gardeners Jeanne and Terriessa.
Saturday, March 1st – Volunteers are needed for a Garden Work Day from 9 am to noon. T & S Hardwoods is generously donating lumber to build more raised beds. Please join us for a work day to construct raised beds, fill them with soil, prune the orchard, and perform more garden tasks. All ages and abilities are welcome. Contact Garden Manager Joe Ward if you can help or have questions.
Tuesday, March 4 – MCGA board members Lin and Linda McKnight will demonstrate how to grow potatoes in containers during the 11 am weekly meeting at the Collins P. Lee Center.
Monday, March 31 – Shawn Davis, coordinator of the Oconee Master Gardeners Association, and Putnam County Extension Agent Keith Fielder will offer Gardening with Limitations: Part 2 Garden Tools. This free workshop will be held at The Hut, 400A W. Marion St. downtown Eatonton from 1:00 – 3:30 p.m. Please pre-register by calling 706 485 4151. Carpooling is available. Meet at the Milledgeville Mall in the parking area between Exchange Bank and Belk’s at 12:15 p.m.
